The members of Powerscourt Golf Club and their guests braved a wet and blustery morning to kick off a day of fund raising for the Wicklow Hospice Foundation. With two Shotgun events scheduled the afternoon players got the better weather on the day. The winners of the morning event were Simon Elliot, Jack Slattery, David Smith & Billy Riordan on 86 points and the afternoon winners were David Cantwell, David Lowe, Cecil Hayes & Carol Lowe on 91 points.

The event was a great success with tremendous support from our members, their guests, our sponsors and the wider community. We are delighted to have raised in excess of €20,000 for the Wicklow Hospice Foundation. At a very well attended dinner Dr Brendan Cuddihy Chairman of the Wicklow Hospice Foundation gave an update on the progress to date with their fundraising and thanked the members of Powerscourt for their support.
