Putting Rhythm tip
Here’s a little putting practise drill that can help keep your rhythm smooth during the transition (backstroke to forewardstroke) period of your putting technique.
You will need a putter with a cavity at the back to try this drill Place a coin on the back of your putter as illustrated. The objective here is to make a stroke without the coin sliding off the back of the putter. This will only be achieved if you have a smooth transition in your putting stroke. This will then allow you to feel a natural acceleration through the ball contact zone.
Remember a good consistent rhythm/tempo in a putting stroke is one of the most important qualities you can develop.
