Gavin Hunt Appointed as New General Manager of Powerscourt Golf Club

Ireland’s Parkland Golf Venue of the Year 2014 has a new manager, Gavin Hunt, who has spent the last seventeen years working in the Irish golf world. Gavin began his management career at Powerscourt Golf Club under retiring manager Bernard Gibbons before moving on to Glen of the Downs Golf Club in County Wicklow as General Manager and Knightsbrook Hotel Spa and Golf Resort in County Meath as their Director of Golf .

Commenting on his appointment as General Manager of Powerscourt Golf Club, Managing Director Sarah Slazenger said “We are lucky that we have been able to attract such an exceptional manager as Gavin Hunt.  He started his career in golf with us and his passion for Powerscourt and people skills were immediately evident.  He understands our drive for excellence in all areas as we deliver an exceptional golfing experience for all who play at Powerscourt Golf Club.”

Mr. Hunt commences his new role at the golf club on 1^st of April and everyone at the estate looks forward to warmly welcoming him to Powerscourt.
